Sorrento, between flavors and fantastic views

Sorrento is: flowers, lemons, music, film, views, legendary beaches and much more. flowers everywhere fill the city with exotic scents and make it look like an open garden. Lemons are essential to produce the famous limoncello, it is here that (along with Capri and the Amalfi coast)  limoncello is produced to be exported all over the world.

For music, this is where Enrico Caruso died in 1921, considered the greatest tenor of all time, the first singer to cut a record and have a star on the Hollywood walk of fame. Film has given so much to Sorrento, providing a natural set for some of the greatest cinematic triumphs, this is where one of Sophia Loren’s most famous films was made “Pane, amore, è.. “ on this film you can see breathtaking views and the beach of Queen Giovanna, one of the most characteristic beaches of the place, but Sorrento is much more than this, come lose yourself in the colours and joy of the historic center, enjoying a delicious ice cream.

There is something  for everyone, in the center you can still admire the history of the place with the octagonal track of Roman origin with decuman and thistles, or the city walls of the late Middle Ages, another place not to be missed is the public gardens also called “Villa Comunale” they offer a unique view of the gulf of Naples, there’s also the unique Correale Museum of Terranova where you can see collections of Capodimonte porcelains of Greek and Roman age. Sorrento also has wonderful views, in addition to the view of the Gulf of Naples, you can admire the beautiful island of Capri that was once part of Sorrento itself.
